Or, in Jacquie's case, a quick and simple way to get herself landed in detention. Well, not really. Just a form of communication created by a program on her cellphone - a device she simply could not live without. Jacquie didn't try to get in trouble, but today, Mr. Yates was being especcially shitty, and had decided to go snap on her. "And send." she whispered to herself. "Miss Harvey!" Came a screeching voice from above. Jacquie jumped in her place and directed her gaze upwards to the towering Mr. Yates looming above. "How dare you be so rude!" he screamed. A few giggles from some girls across the room distracted her for a moment, and she glared across to them with her icy Queen Bee gaze - which shut them up instantly. "Well!?" Think Jacquie, think fast! "It was my mum, Mr. Yates. She's over in Australia, and she has no idea the time differences. She hates it when she doesn't get a reply straight away, and if I hadn't, she would've just kept texting, which of course, would have interupted your class furthermore." she tried to sound sincere, but she wasn't very good at it. From above, Jacquie imagined Mr. Yates fuming. The sight of his reddened face and that classical vein in his temple got a giggle, which failed her. "Detention! Now!" Jacquie's mouth fell open. Detention? Her? "Are you serious? Just cause my bloody mum won't bother to check the time?"
His teeth gritted. "Now, Miss Harvey." Jacquie didn't see this going anywhere. There was no point wasting her beautiful voice on a troll like him. "Fine! she said, scooping up her books. "This class was boring me to shreds anyway, Barry. she said, using his first name disrespectfully. Slamming the door behind her, she flicked her hair and strut down the hallway. Shoving her mobile deep in her bag as she saw a hall moniter, she rolled her eyes. They had been using student hallmoniters lately, and all of them were freaks. "E-e-excuse m-me!" he said the moment he saw her, "I-i need t-to see a hall p-pass." Narrowing her eyes like a serpent, she pushed him aside. "Get out of my way, freak!" How dare he! Quite frankly, Jacquie was sick of all these nerds. And talking to her!? Way out of line! Pushing the detention door in a snobby manner, she scribbled her name down on the list and slammed her books down on the nearest desk. Around her, where punks, skaters and goths. Oh my god. They could not be serious!
