Many selves stood tall in the place called library. Some stood against the back wall and others stood in lines, parallel to each other. Subjects ranging from world war 2 to anatomy of a jellyfish sat neatly upon the old wooden shelves, sorted by category, subject and alphabetical order. Students come and went, borrowing books, returning them and just reading them for 5 minutes before returning them to their place. 'Twas a sight to behold for one who truly appreciated books.
Richard walked around, looking for some decent German literature books. It had been while since he had read formal German and he was afraid he'd lose the ability to do so. So many books... So many he didn't want to read! Instead of running around like crazy, Richard went to look at one of the guide charts toe look up the section. Languages, Spanish, French, Italian, Latin... Ahh, there we go. German. 578B. Wow. Richard headed off to wards the line of shelves that were marked 500's. Not paying attention, he bumped into someone. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't see you there."

Matison blushed, as she was bumped into. Well, it did happen quiet a lot here, since she was new. Not many people took notice of ehr right away. "Oh, it's okay." She said, shrugging it off. "It happens quite a bit." She sighed. "Oh, I'm Ashley." she said, deciding to introduce herself. She might as well.
She was looking for a book on Spanish. She hadn't been here long, so didn't know her way around anywhere, including the huge library. But after looking it up, she discovered that it was over here, hense her beginning there. She felt like such a loser, bumping into people so often, and no one noticing her. It did nothing for her sefl esteem.

"Hello Matison, I'm Richard" he said with a smile. He was new here too and didn't know his way around. With him being at 6'1", Richard didn't notice too many people unless he walked into them, just like now.
Richard felt a bit out of place in the library. There were a lot of people here and none of them even looked close to himself. He wore his usual 3/4 baggy black pants, knee high red, black and yellow striped socks, 3 inch shin high platform boots and sleeveless turtleneck shirt. And of course his lip and earing.
"So which book are you looking for?" Richard asked. Why else would she be in a library, wondering the many shelves? Maybe he could help her if it was high up.

Matison gave a small smile, looking up slightly at him. She was small, but wore pretty high heels, so she stood about 5'7 at the moment. Her blonde hair was tied up messily in a bun, and she looked a mess. Everyone else here seemed to look perfect, or unique, or something. She just looked bad, in her old jeans and tank.
"Hi." She smiled. "I'm looking for Spanish. Anything on Spanish." She laughed. "I'm taking the course, but I don't know to much about it right now." She shrugged. "What about you? What are you looking for?" She asked Richard, pushing her bangs out of her eyes and looking at him.

"Spanish, Spanish" Richard said to himself thinking. Turning himself a little, he pointed down the isle a ways at where he thought he saw Spanish. "I think Spanish is over there a ways." Turning back, he caught the question. "Oh, I'm looking for a book on German literature. It has been forever since I have read formal German."
Flicking aside the hair that got into his eyes, Richard looked at his watch. There was still plenty of time to it was all good. He pulled a book of the shelf before clicking through for a moment, deciding that he would read this book. "If you want, I could show you where I saw the Spanish books" he said quietly.

Matison nodded her thanks as he pointed out the Spanish section. She probably never would have found it. "Oh, German. That's pretty cool, I don't know any German." She smiled softly, and gave a shrug.
"Oh really? That would be great, thanks!" She said, standing up a little straighter. That would be even better, since she would probably still get lost, even with him pointing it out. She leaned over slightly, looking past him to where he had said Spanish was. Richard seemed like a really nice person, but you could never truley be sure. Life was full of backstabbers and traitors. But putting that aside, he did seem nice enough.

Richard chuckled. "Don't worry, not everybody knows the same languages." Of course, Richard had never wanted to learn English. Though he ended up learning it anyway.
"No worries" he smiled turning to wards to direction he had pointed out earlier, Richard started walking to wards the Spanish section in a casual pace. "So what grade are you in, Matison?" he asked, curiosity interwoven in his voice. She looked at least a year or two younger than himself.
((I'm so sorry. My computer has been really slow as of late.))

Matison picked up her other textbook off the table, and followed Richard, walking beside him. "11, I'm a Junior.." She said with a little nod. As they walked, she hugged her textbook to her chest. "And yourself?" She asked curiously.
When they had reached the section she smiled. Her brown eyes darted over the books' spines. Setting her heavy textbook down on the table near by, she looked back to Richard cheerfully, waiting to hear his voice in response.

Richard nodded his head. "I'm a senior. I feel old next to you" he joked. He certainly felt tall enough to be old. He chuckled to himself, remembering how he had towered over everyone early.
As they reached the section, Richard looked over the spines, just like Matison was doing. He didn't understand a word of what he was reading. His expression was one of confusion. "I'm not even going to attempt to pronounce any of that. I'm afraid that I'd bite my tongue trying" he said, turning back to Matison.

Matison smiled and laughed. "Well we wouldn't want that to happen." She smiled. "But you speak German I assume?" She asked. Having already guessed it was a yes, she realized that was a dumb question. Of course he did, he was in the German section.
It seemed that all the girls she had met were younger then here, and all the guys older. It wasn't a bad thing, but she really didn't know anyone in her grade. Although Richard was nice, she wished she had some friends in her classes.
Pushing back her hair that was falling in her face, she stepped forward and ran her finger over the spines, looking for what she needed, while waiting for his answer.

Richard chuckled at her question. "Actually, I'm half German. I speak both German and English, as I'm sure you have already guessed." He assumed she spoke Spanish, at least a little since that was the language of book she was looking for.
Richard was 18 and one of the oldest students at the school. He really did feel old. So far, Matison was the only person he had met. Most of the other students flicked him off at first sight. What heartless %^&$@ they were.

Matison nodded as he spoke, to show she was listening, even if she was looking over the books. "Really? That's pretty cool." She said, facing him to give a smile. She went back tothe books, and pulled one off the shelve. "Have you lived here all your life? Or have you lived in Germany?" She asked him, while opening the book, to quickly check if it was what she was looking for.
Matison had a tendensy to ask a lot of questions, and sometimes it made her come off as nosey. That's why she usually kept to herself. He didn't have to answer her many questions if he didn't want to, she would understand. He was not only older then her, he was a lot taller then the peite Matison. Not that she cared, but most of the time, people treated her like she was just a child, especially if they were older.

Richard rocked back slightly on his heels watching Matison for a moment. "I lived in Germany until I was 10. Then I moved here, to the U.S.A. I only recently moved to this city, about a year or two back." He didn't mention his violent past. It was sure to scare her off or something of the sorts.
Being the hot head he was, Richard was sometimes over-exaggerate things. His mind thought the bigger something is, the better it is. Apart from himself of course. He had gotten stuck in small spaces, even doorways, because of his size a number of times.

Matison looked up from the book, her brown eyes partically hiden from the piece of hair falling in her face. "Wow, that is awesome." She said with a smile. Ughh, think of something else to say for once! She thought to herself. it seemed that's all she could say.
"Yeah, I've moved around a lot." She nodded, placing the book in her hands ontop of the one on the table, then slide into the cushioned seat, and looked up at Richard. "What's Germany like?" She asked curiously. She had meet Desiree, who had lived in Spain, and now Richard from Germany. It was really interesting, to meet people from all over the globe.

Richard moved his head a bit so that he could see her eyes properly. He had a moral for not touching people until he knew pretty well. Was it really that interesting?
Rolling his eyes up wards so that he was looking at some invisible object above his head, Richard thought for a moment. "It is a very beautiful place" he said. "In the spring, the hills are green, blooming with wildflowers and blossoms. In the fall, the bright orange and yellow leaves are almost like a fairy tale. In winter, large lakes freeze over, sparkling in the sunlight. And in summer, the hay is golden and wavy, ready to be harvested. It really is a beautiful sight to see."
