"wow." Matison said, giving a soft smile as she looked at him. "That sounds so beautiful." She told him. "I wish I could go there. I want to be a photographer." She said, nodding her head slightly. The way he had describe it was so detailed, so intriuging. "You must have loved it there." She said, looking back down at her two books.
She ran a finger over the gold lettering of the textbook, and sighed. How she longed to be home. If she could call it home. When she did begin to call a place home, it seemed as if they moved again. Hopefully she would be here for the rest of high school, and not get transferred again.

Richard shrugged. "It's very cold during winter though." He watched as she nodded her head in acceptance of his words. "A photographer? Sounds like fun. I've always wanted to be a pyrotechnic personally" he added as if it were an afterthought. "I don't remember too much of. I only spent a decade there" he said.
Richard stared at the books again, trying to make sense of the wording. It all seemed blurred to his oddly colored eyes. It reminded him of when he first saw English writing. It seemed like mumbo jumbo to him. Like someone raving on about something and having forgotten the words, wrote anything down.

"A decade is a long time.." Matison said, mostly to herself. She had never been in one place for more then a year, let alone ten. And most of the time, less then a year. She often felt as if her childhood wasn't complete, from moving so much, and so often.
Pushing the thoughts to the back of her head, she pushed the hair out of her big brown eyes again. Looking up from her book, she once again looked over to Richard, who was looking at his books. She gave a smile, and then looked down at her own. Although she was supposed to be studying, she didn't feel like it at all.

"Only if you remember most of it. I don't remember much before age 8." Richard's memory before 8 was blurred and very hard to understand. His views had changed so much since he left Germany.
Grunting with annoyance, Richard tried desperately to remember what the words meant. Had it been that long since he had read German? He shook his head of the thoughts and concentrated on the words. He could make out a few things, though some words weren't just coming to him. Looks like he'll be doing German this year.

Matison took in what he had said, and nodded slowly. Closing her textbook, careful not to let it slam shut, she sighed. She oicked up the spanish book first, and slipped it into her book bag/tote. Then, after she had placed it in, she picked up the other text from the table, and slipped it in as well. She pushed out her chair and stood slowly. "Well, I think I've had enough of the library for today." She said with a soft smile. "Did you want to grab a bit? Or should I just head off?" She asked him. Of course, she wasn't asking him on a date. She wasn't the kind of person who asked out a guy she just met. NO, she meant it in a friendly way.

Sighing, Richard held onto the book and turned to Matison, who was putting books into her bag. As she stood, Richard waited. He could wait. He'd done it for a couple of years while in prison.
"Sure. That'd be cool" he said. He didn't expect it to be a date since they had only known each other for a few minutes. But hey, whatever. Go with the flow as some said. Turning to wards the librarians desk, Richard looked over his shoulder at Matison. "You coming or what?" he laughed.

Matison laughed, and rolled her eyes playfully. Putting her bag over her shoulder, and her arm over top, she took a few extra steps so she was walking beside him, as they checked out their books, and made their way out of the library. "Where did you want to go?" She asked him, looking up at him with her honey brown eyes. She looked a mess still, since she hadn't planned on going any where, other then the library. But she didn't mind all to much.

Richard grinned at Matison innocently. He walked beside her and checked out his book. "Hm, I don't know. Do you know any good places?" he asked, rubbing the back of his head. Richard was a person who dressed the same for anything unless forced to wear something entirely else. Mostly fishnets, baggy black pants, dark make-up and his beloved 3 inch platforms.

Matison thought for a moment. "Starbucks." She laughed. It was the only little hang out place she knew of, that was close by. "That or the club." She said, but obivously joking. It wasn't like they were about to go out the club. It was just the only other place she knew. "No, it's only my almost third week here." She said with a silly smile. "I have been so busy catching up on work, I don't have a real life." She said with a smile.
