Sabrina sighed as she walked into the bathroom, her headphones in her ears playing a familiar tune. She glanced up at the flickering lights, forcing the old tiles on the bathroom floor and walls to look more eerie than they already did. Shadows were cast along the stalls, giving the illusion that someone other than Sabrina was in there. Sabrina shuddered, despite herself trying to calm herself; but the knowledge that the bathroom had no windows still freaked her out. Sabrina pulled out her tube of eyeliner and leaned closer to the mirror, as to not mess it up. She hummed along with the song quietly, as to not disturb the rumored ghosts. Sabrina didn't believe in ghosts, but she found that anything was possible. Even being murdered by a ghost in a bathroom..., she found herself thinking.
Sabrina forced herself to regain her composure as she finished up with the eyeliner. "Some things I'll never know, and I had to let them go, well I'm sitting all alone, feeling empty...", she sang along quietly, now pulling eyeshadow out of her bag. Sabrina saw the bathroom stall door behind her open with a creak. Sabrina felt the eyeliner leave her hands and clatter into the sink. She spun around, yanking the headphones out of her ears, facing the stall and frantically looked for a nearby object to protect herself with. Her breath was short and she could feel her heart thumping painfully against her rib cage. "Hello?", she asked her voice quiet and hoarse. When nobody replied, Sabrina moved cautiously to the stall, her converse making no noise on the old grimy floor. "Hello?", she asked again trying to make out the figure that was in the stall, seeing as the light didn't help with illumination at all. Sabrina held her breath as she stood right in front of the stall, when laughter was coming from within a foot of it. Sabrina felt two hands push her back into the light. Sabrina let out a helpless scream when she felt the hands slightly push her. A smile broke onto her terrified face when she realized who she was. "You realize you're GOING to kill me if you keep popping up like that!", she said accusingly rolling her eyes at her friends immaturity.

Zia smirked at her old friend. "I love how easy you are to scare." she commented, hopping off the top of the toilet - from where she had scared Sabrina - onto the floor, her black messenger bag hitting her thigh. "You're too paranoid about the ghosts and all the rumours that surround this school," she added, as she walked over to the mirror, trying to pin her bangs up. "Though," she said, pausing, a mysterious look appearing on her face. "The rumours are true. There are ghosts here. I've seen them myself," she said, looking at Sabrina's face through the mirror. "One evening, in the library." she mused, remembering the night, as she applied eyeliner onto her lower lids.
At first, she didn't notice the slight bit of glowing light in the corner. She overlooked it, but for some reason, her eyes strayed back to that place by the bookshelves, where the previous thump had been heard. Gasping slightly, she couldn't pull her eyes away from that one spot, and she heard Jack's slight whine, as he lay down on the floor, his ears covering his eyes. Zia bit her lip, as she noted that the glowing form seemed to be getting clearer. The more she looked at it, the more and more it seemed to look like the silhouette of a.... Person!?
"But yet again, I doubt the ghosts would haunt the bathroom. I mean, they may be 'out to avenge their deaths', but I highly doubt that they want to see whatever it is you're doing in here," she said, a small giggle escaping her lips. Noting Sabrina's headphones, she pointed to her MP3 player. "What're you listening to?" she inquired, hearing a strain of a rock song coming through the headphones - which were in Sabrina's hands.

Sabrina shuddered, still trying to calm her racing heart. "I'm not afraid of ghosts.", she said confidently finding her eyeliner still in the sink. "Well you remember Moaning Myrtle!!! Not that I've been reading Harry Potter books again.", she said quickly with a sheepish smile, "Sixteen and still addicted", Sabrina said with a sigh as she leaned against the wall.
"Well I was listening to Paramore's Pressure before I was so rudely interrupted by the powers of the beyond!", Sabrina said dramatically realizing that she was wasting battery power. She quickly shut it off and hid it in the pocket of her jeans where no ghosts could get it. "At least life never gets boring around here. Constantly being scared out of your wits can keep things interesting", she commented zipping up her colourful sweatshirt and wrapping her arms around herself in an attempt to calm herself.
[^^A bit short I'm afraid. Sorry. Minor blockage.]

Zia had watched Sabrina's exchange through the mirror. When Sabrina finished, Zia turned around and smirked at her friend - her eyes now fully lined with heavy black makeup - and said, "Not afraid of ghosts, are you? Please. You jumped about a good three feet when I scared you!" she said, pretending to cower in front of Sabrina. "'Brina, you worry too much," Zia said, placing a hand on her friend's shoulder, and looking at her in a jokingly concerned manner. "Harry Potter? Hell, I could be 49 and still be addicted! In fact, my dad still reads the series - and he's 44!" she exclaimed, laughing good-heartedly.
Zia leaned against the sink and sighed. "Sooo... What now? Since you've already fallen for the ghost-in-the-toilet-stall trick, I won't be able to pull that one on you for a while - and I haven't thought of any new ones quite yet. Go figure! This must be your lucky day!" Zia smirked again, as she reached into her messenger bag and pulled out a brush, and began to move it through her slightly messy hair, gently undoing knots, as she observed her status in the mirror. When her hair was brushed and set just the way she liked it, she replaced her brush in her bag and pulled out a can of hairspray, spraying it into her hair. Turning to Sabrina, she smirked. "Y'know, about the only thing I don't carry in here is books." she said, grinning evilly.

Sabrina grinned, "Zee, you know perfectly well that I do not fall for that ghost trick often! And you said it yourself... they actually exsist around here.", she said looking around the eerie bathroom once again.
Sabrina rolled her eyes, "I noticed. You could live out of that thing. Got any cookies for me?", she asked motioning toward her bag and attempting to look in over Zia's shoulder. "And I wouldn't trick me if I were you. A certain someone had a few tickets to a certain band that goes by the name of My Chemical Romance won from a certain radio contest and she's looking for a certain someone to bring along.", Sabrina said looking at her nails and pretending to file them and sighing. "But if you feel that you need to spend more time thinking of ways to give me heart attacks...", Sabrina started already in a sarcastic tone.

"Yeah, I know that they actually exist around here - but you're still paranoid about them!" Zia pointed out, as Sabrina looked over her shoulder nervously. "The way I figure it - be polite, and leave them alone - and they'll return the favour." she stated, as she leaned against the sink, crossing her arms over her chest and looking at her friend. "Cookies?" she asked Sabrina, as she began to shuffle through her bag. "Y'know, this makes me look really pathetic, but I actually do!" she said with a laugh, as she pulled out a bag of cookies. "I made 'em this morning - so you should be pretty happy with how they taste." she said, handing the bag over to Sabrina, and turning back to lean against the sink once more.
Zia's eyes widened at Sabrina's mention of concert tickets. "Are you serious!? I thought that was a different Sabrina! Omigod. You have to take me! Pleeeaasseee." she pleaded, even getting down on her knees to illustrate her point. "You know that I was only kidding about that ghost thing. I love you Sabrina, I do!" she added, getting up, and making a heart with her fingers, and pouting.
[[Lmfao. This was fun to write. xD]]

Sabrina let out a squeal as she accepted the cookies. She bit into one and let the sugary warmth spread through every inch of her being even the gooey chocolate somehow managing to turn into happiness.
Sabrina giggled as Zia got down onto her knees, "You know this puts me in a position of power? I now have cookies and concert tickets." Sabrina feigned a look of deep thought, "No... you know I think I'm going to take a different best friend to the best concert of all time.", she said completely seriously watching Zia's facial expression. "I'm joking Zee! Of course I'll take you! What kind of best friend would I be?!", Sabrina said happily biting into another cookie. "But only if I get Iero. Are we still going through with our plan of stuffing a band member into a potato sack and kidnapping them, then asking for ransom money? Because I'm all for it.", Sabrina said grinning. "Mama, we all go to hell...", Sabrina started singing as she waltzed around the bathroom, watching out for the semi-lighted stalls. "When I realized I won, I freaked out. I thought you would have heard my screaming coming from our dorm!", Sabrina said still dancing around the bathroom watching Zia's bemused expression.
[[Ha ha. I love writing this. It sounds like something we would actually do... Waltz through a haunted bathroom? Oh yessssss... xDDD]]

Zia watched with amusement as her friend waltzed through the bathroom, singing MCR songs loudly - but well. "Oh! That was you screaming?" she asked, raising her brows in slight surprise. "Really? Huh. I assumed one of the Queen Bees had, GASP! Broken a nail or something - or at least seem a bug," she snorted, examining her fingernails, which were slightly chewed, and painted a multiple amount of colours. "But hey! You're taking me - so what do I care?" she exclaimed with a happy squeal, as she interrupted her friends' impromptu waltzing with a giant bear hug. "Yeah, and since you're taking me - I kindasorta owe you my whole life," Zia added, with a smirk.
"I wonder where Courtney is," she remarked off-handedly, pulling away from Sabrina, and rubbing the back of her neck with her hand. "I haven't seen her around in a while - have you? In fact, I haven't seen a couple of people around - like Ebony, Alex, and Rachel," she said, thinking out loud. "Huh. Probably found a good place to skip - lucky bastards. That's the thing I hate about Massachusetts. It's not like New York where there are cafes and stores everywhere. It's just so - suburban!" she exclaimed, wrinkling her nose.
