Donella walked into the Starbucks and looked around. She was wearing oversized Prada glasses over her eyes to shield them from the sun that seemed to be extra bright that morning. She was wearing a pair of True Religion skinny jeans, a plum colored button up Dior peasant inspired top, plum colored boots, and a black wool coat.
She took a deep breath and walked over to the counter. "French Vanilla Latte. To go," she siad simply taking out her credit card and handing it to him. he swiped it and gave it back to her and then had her sign the reciept.
She waited for him to give her her latte. She had a huge hangover from the night before, hence why the sun was extra bright that morning. Oh not to mention she popped a few pain killers the night before and this morning. He finally gave her the latte and she turned to walk away.

Quite frankly, Zia was not in the mood for the cold weather this morning. She had woken up late to find that she had missed more than half of her first period, and had angrily decided just to ditch the whole freakin' day. She had on a black peacoat, the hood pulled over her head in an attempt to protect her from the chilly wind that blew through the town of Salem. It was fucking cold, she was pissed, and she needed coffee. She stomped into the Starbucks on the corner, and slammed the door behind her, the wind helping her in amplifying the sound. Muttering, with her canvas messenger bag slapping against her thigh, she glared at the barista who, in turn, scurried to get Zia's regular - a tall mocha latte. [She had been here so many times that almost all the baristas knew her favourite.]
She stomped over to the nearest table by the window, and sat down with a loud thump, causing other customers to give her a weird glance. She glared at them, and eyed the line wearily, seeing if she knew someone. The one girl who was incredibly dressed no doubt went to her school - though, she didn't know her name. Judging by the make of her glasses and top, Zia automatically matched her with the Queen Bee clique. Though, she couldn't place her face, because of the large Prada glasses covering her eyes. The barista brought her drink, and she threw a tip her way, still looking at the Queen Bee.

Donella sipped her latte and was deciding whether or not to stay in the Starbucks or mack the trip back to her dorm room. She really didn't wantto face the cold. It had to be below 30 out there. She decided on staying in the starbucks, if only to warm herself up a bit. If she walked outside, there was a serious possiblity that she'd freeze to death before she even made it back on campus.
She looked around for an empty table and/or chair. In the process of searching she saw someone watching her. She looked at the girl. She was trying to place her. Of course. she'd seen her around campus a few times. She ws sure she hadn't seen her in any of her classes. As there seemed to be no other tables, apparently everyone was here, she decided to throw caution into the wind and walk over. She did just that while placing her sunglasses on top of her hair, which ws in a messy, yet well put together bun. When she reached the girl's table she looked at the empty seat and said,"Mind if I sit here?"

Zia stared at the girl in line, with her mind in other places, her eyes just refusing to move. She started when the girl started making her way over to Zia's table. Cocking a brow, she glanced around at the other tables around her, and noted that they were all full. So, apparently, Queen Bee herself wanted to sit with Zia. Fine. She could deal with that. Sipping her latte, she gave the girl a slight nod in answer to her question. Zia watched as the girl pulled out the other chair from across the table, and sat in it - her skinny frame not really taking up much of it. Zia decided not to really say anything to the newcomer - she instead observed her suspiciously over her hot latte, as she reached into her bag, pulling out a sketchbook. "You don't mind, do you?" she asked off-handedly, breaking her decision to not utter a word, and motioning in a general direction of where her sketchbook now lay on the table, open to a fresh page.
Not really bothering to wait for a response - Zia, was of course not well rested, so her manners took a backseat - she began to make some very vague lines with her graphite pencil. She didn't really know what exactly she was planning on drawing, but just followed the movements of her wrist subconsciously. Eventually, on the paper in front of her, a blank face appeared. The jaw was pretty square - which suggested that the person in question, was a guy. Zia stared at the soft outline, forgetting that the other girl was also at the table with her. She looked up, alarmed, as though seeing the other girl for the first time. "I - erm, do you go to MHBS? I think I've seen you there... I go there too - I'm Zia Williams," she burst out, holding out her hand. It seems the off impromptu drawing session had prompted Zia to wake up.

Donella sat down in the seat. Obviously this girl had no intention of speaking to her and she had not objection to that whats so ever because she wasn't in the best of moods. She watched as the girl pulled out a sketchbook and began...sketching. Donella moved her aways away from the girl and the sketch and just sipped her latte while gazing around the Starbucks. She was becoming warmed up pretty quickly as it seemed that they had her heat on full blast and the latte was extremely hot.
Donella was in her own little zone when she realized the girl had looked up fast. She'd realized this becuase of the fact that she'd hit the table in the process, which Donella was resting her arm on. She looked at the girl who seemed like a different person from the one she had seen just a minute ago. The girl thrust her hand out and said that her name was Zia and that she went to MHHBS.
Donella shook the girl's hand and said,"Donella McArthur. Yeah I go to MHHBS." She knew that she'd seen that girl around campus a few times.
