Boredom. That was one word to describe Courtney's major being for the moment, the very word wasn't all that exciting of a phrase. Perhaps she could have thought of another word to describe how she felt, but why should she? It was the perfect word, and it would have been stupid to take the time to think of another word. Apathy. Uninterested. Hm, probably. But bored seemed much more suitable to Courtney. The park was empty, and there was simply nothing else to do. The weather had been stormy throughout the whole entire day, and people had kept themselves in secluded areas. It had finally stopped raining, but the atmosphere still seemed rather damp. Nonetheless, it was sunny. Thank god. Courtney's gaze wandered down to her hand, where clasped in it, lay a perfectly intact rose. She had found it earlier in the way when taking a pleasant walk. She ran a pale finger over the rose's soft petals. Oddly, it was indeed quite red and..perfect. Courtney quickly wrenched her hand back as her index finger accidentally came in contact against one of the few thorns that the rose itself possessed. She narrowed her icy blue eyes as a trickle of crimson-red blood slowly ran down her finger. Yuck.
Shuddering lightly, she took out her a tissue and wiped it off, wrinkling her nose in digust. A scar still remained. She reached for the rose and one-by-one, began taking off it's soft, sweet-smelling petals. For some strange reason, the famous method of "They love me, they love me not" skittered through her head. How could using a flower possibly tell you whether your significant other loved you or not? Petal counting. How childish. But very tempting as well. "He loves me.." Courtney murmered, removing a petal. "He loves me not." She continued, until the last petal of the rose remained. "And..he loves me." She let out a laugh, tossing the remains of the rose aside. And who could possibly be the "he" that she was talking about? Courtney rolled her eyes, twirling a blonde curl around, lost in thought. The guys around here were too..immature. Which is why she was so taken with older guys. Not too old o course - just a year or so above her. The breeze softly swept by, making her hair blow lightly.
Agh, this was so boring. She couldn't wait to be out of Salem, and into a much more interesting place. Modeling? Probably. She glanced down at her heels, noticing a few wet grass remains. "Ugh, great," Courtney uttered in her snooty voice.
Bo-ring.
